Ella + James Young

Ella first contacted me in December 2024, almost a year before her wedding day, after seeing a family photoshoot that I did with a friend of hers. After reading her questionnaire I fell in love with these two childhood sweethearts and I couldn't wait to capture their love for one and other.

They chose the beautiful market town of Woodbridge to start their special day and later finished their celebrations in Felixstowe. Ella only required half day coverage which I am always happy to offer to clients who would prefer to relax in the evening.

Ella stayed at the boutique hotel The Bull Inn which is situated directly opposite Shire Hall, where they had their ceremony. She was such a calm bride and a joy to be around.  She had the most elegant dress with a stunning veil. From the window she could watch her future husband to be arrive and other guests.

Ella had an extra special touch to her bouquet that included a charm that her late nanny wrote to be with her on this special day.

It wasn't long before James, his best man and all the guests made their way to Shire Hall for the ceremony. Ella was escorted by her father and the room was full of smiles. It was such an honour to document.

After the ceremony the weather was wetter than we would have liked, but this didn't dampen any spirits. All our family shots and couple photos were taken in the entrance to Shire Hall and the couples must have shot of all guests surrounding them at the entrance was achieved, with great success.

Not long after the bus arrived to transport all the guests to their final venue at The Fludyers Hotel in Felixstowe. I loved the shots on the bus, everyone was relaxed and happy. These are some of my favourites of the year.
